PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Star 1-5 program offers the best-in-class figure skating curriculum in Canada, targeting athletes looking for a future in the sport. Taught by NCCP Skate Canada coaches, the program introduces skaters to the basic figure skating elements to create the foundation for future skating.

The Star program is an opportunity for personal growth and the development of important life skills such as goal-setting, self-discipline, time management, healthy lifestyle and coping strategies to deal with both successes and failures.

At the Intermediate level, skaters will continue to work through the Starskate program level assessments and tests and have the opportunity to compete.

LESSONS & COACHING

Skaters at the Intermediate level are required to obtain a primary base coach / private coach. Your skater will need a coach to direct and track their progress and determine when your skater is ready for assessments / tests. All coaching arrangements are made between the parent and private coach - lesson scheduling, invoicing and payments go directly through your skaters coach, not through the club.

Some coaches also team coach with other club coaches for additional lessons.
